All Time Favourite Youtubers!

I have been watching Youtube on an almost daily basis for many years now, and it was through discovering the 'beauty gurus' that I actually discovered the world of blogging.

There are a lot of now very well known beauty gurus that I first started out watching, who I really loved! However I have fallen out of love with a few of these Youtubers as I found that as they gained more success they seemed to ditch the content I enjoyed watching (such as drugstore makeup reviews, tutorials, high street clothing hauls) in favour of ridiculously expensive high end or niche products that I could never realistically afford. I'm not saying I don't enjoy watching high end product videos at all, but I would only follow a channel if they included some lower priced/NORMAL PERSON products, so that I can actually relate to them!

I have also found that some of the videos now just seem extremely commercialised, scripted and cringey  which I don't like as I don't see it as real. So if you notice that I have missed out some well known youtubers from my list below, it is probably due to either of those reasons ... but that is only my personal opinion and they clearly have thousands of subscribers who do not share my opinion :)

Here is a list of links to all of my current favourite Youtubers, I love discovering new channels so please leave a comment with your favourite channels and Youtubers so I can check them out! xx

And a few music channels I enjoy:

FOTD: Big Red Lips!

I used:
Collection 2000 Lasting perfection concealer in shade 2
Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation in 100 Ivory on Real Techniques Buffing Brush
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in 001 Transparent on Real Techniques Powder Brush
MUA Powder Shade 3  and Benefit Coralista on Real Techniques Contour Brush
MUA Intense Colour Eyeliner Pencil in Jet Black
Collection 2000 Fast Stroke Eyeliner
MUA Extreme Curl Mascara
MUA Intense Colour Lip Liner in Brooding Plum
Vaseline
17 Supreme Shine Lipstick in Rich
Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss - I highly recommend the sexy mother pucker gloss as it tingles strongly for quite a while so you feel like it is really doing something, and I think my lips do look a bit more plump here!

I wore this makeup on Friday, for no special reason other than I had lots of spare time to get ready in the morning so thought I would try something different.
You will almost never see me wearing a red lip even at night time, I usually stick to pinks, orangey corals and peachy nudes. To be honest this is partly because I'm not that good at getting a perfect red lip and I know I'll end up smudging it...  like the last time I wore a dark lip on a night out ages ago and it ended up on my chin! NOT A GOOD LOOK as you can see here....
Hahaha :(

Anyways thanks for reading this far! Do you have a go-to favourite product or trick to get the perfect red lip? xxx

Woo it's Friday, and a Haul!!!

I think TGIF is the expression! Not that my weekend will properly start until I finish work tomorrow evening... boo, but anywayyys! Here are just a few things I picked up whilst in town today.

This shirt from Primark was only £10!!! I think it has a really understated classy look to it (surprisingly Primark haven't ruined it with something tacky, I really like the gold buttons) and could easily pass off as a Topshop shirt. I bought it in a size 20, as just by looking it it on the hanger I could tell I wanted it to hang nice and loose and also to cover my bum to wear with leggings etc.

I did have the navy blue version of this tee which says RAD, I bought it as the slogan was a little different from the Geek/Nerd/Dork tops that a lot of people have been hating on recently (I guess just because they're everywhere.) I loved how comfy it was and how it hung on me. But it bloody shrunk in the wash and I couldn't see it in Primark again :( So I gave in and picked this one up, not the most original, ground breaking item of clothing I know but it is comfy and flattering and to be honest my long hair covers up the NERD slogan anyway.

Another brush to add to my RT collection, it was definitely worth the £12 as it is so lovely and big, and amazingly soft.

I always get sucked in by the £1 items at Primark! I have tried about 5 of the different fake nail designs now and all have impressed me apart from one. The only thing is you need to use a better glue to make sure they actually stay on your nail. I will probably paint over the french manis, but how cute are the polka dots?!!

I had used up all of my Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit daily scrub which I got on with quite well, so thought I might as well try another Neutrogena product. I chose the Garnier soft essentials toner because I have been getting patches of dry skin recently especially on my nose :( So didn't want a toner that would feel drying in any way.

Finally, I also recieved an order I made yesterday on Missguided, as they currently have free next day delivery up until midnight tonight! I ordered the Kadira Shiny Disco Pants in Black - I know, a bit late on the disco pant bandwagon! But even though the weather should be getting warmer I still think I will get a lot of wear out of them in the evening/nighttime :)

Spring Wishlist

I know I have been neglecting my poor blog recently :( So I 've given it a little makeover and thought I would kick things off with a wishlist... even though looking at it all makes me feel a little depressed :( I have way too much to pay for coming up, so have been working this week instead of going to college which sounds bad I know! Hopefully with a bit of budgeting and some more shifts my bank account will look a little better,
anywayyyyyy...

1. Babyliss Pro Conical Wand I have seen both Tanya Burr and Sabrina from LoveLaughAndMakeup review this really affordable wand! They achieved lovely loose curls, which I think look especially nice during spring/summer.
2. MUA Power Pout I have read so many positive reviews so far, and I love to wear lighter balm and tint lip products when the weather is warm. I plan on popping to superdrug tomorrow so hopefully at least one item will get ticked off.
3. MOTO Bleach Acid Wash Oversize Jacket  I love the colour and wash of this jacket but I am unsure of how oversized it would actually come up, I want it to be really big and baggy! My friend bought a really cool oversized Levis jacket from Camden market which sounds like a good place to try looking.
4. Thierry Mugler Alien  A friend at work wears this perfume and I absolutely fell in love with it! She sprayed my wrists with some which was a bad idea as now my jacket still smells of it which makes me want it even more! It is pricey but definitely will be worth the money when I finally get it :)
5. Dip Dye Sweatshirt  I have seen loads of ombre tshirts and sweats that I love and this is just one of them, which would be perfect for warm evenings (I am probably getting way ahead of myself planning for the summer weather here)
6. Spitfire Babet Round Sunglasses These sunglasses are just effortlessly cool and would match anything! I like the slightly more unusal round shape....
7. Bardot Skater Dress I still love skater dresses and think they are a great base for an outfit, and this one is off the shoulders which gives it a little something different
8. Spitfire Round Sunglasses  I'm not sure if I could pull off these gold sunglasses unless I could try them on! But I can imagine wearing them with a fairly pain outfit to jazz it up.
9. Glassy Sunhater Sunglasses These sunnies would be perfect for a festival
10. JuJu Jellies I can see myself wearing these to death with maxi skirts/dresses if I ever get round to buying them
11. Black Tie Die Maxi Skirt I imagine wearing this with a plain white roll sleeve t shirt tucked in, a statement necklace, juju jelly shoes and one of the above pairs of sunglasses!

Easy Nail Art Ideal for Beginners!

I am in no way any good at painting my nails even one solid colour, yet alone detailed nail art! But I gave this opposite triangle design a go today, and I don't think it turned out half bad for a novice so thought I would share it :)

All you need is two contrasting colours of nail polish, and some sellotape.
Paint all of your nails in the same base colour, I needed to use two coats. Then you have to wait for it to dry completely! This is my least favourite part as I have absolutely no patience aha, but it's worth it because if you try to do the next step when they are still wet or tacky, they will be ruined!

So once they are dry, I just cut out some squares of sellotape and had them next to me ready to use. Use the sellotape to outline the triangle shapes so the only part of your nail that isn't covered with tape is the triangle shape.

Then carefully paint over the gap making sure it is all covered, and pull off the sellotape straight away while it is still wet, you will be able to see your lovely neat straight edges :D Repeat on all the nails and that's it! Just a top coat to finish...

I love this design because it looks striking and more complicated than it really is! I think it would also look lovely with spring colours such as pastel pink and mint green, lavender etc. Also, any other geometric shapes/designs can be created using the sellotape method!

River Island SALE Camo/Studded Army Boots

I saw these boots a little while ago while I was in town with my boyfriend, I think I made a beeline for them as soon as I got to the footwear section! I still have a big thing for the military/grunge trend, I think even if it fizzles out I will still wear these boots while it's cold. However I knew I couldn't afford/justify the £50 price tag at the time so I had to leave them... until I saw them in the online sale reduced to £20 :D
I ordered them straight away on Tuesday with standard delivery and they came just now (Thursday morning)

What do you think of the camo trend, are you still buying camouflage pieces? xxx

More Primark £1 Nails

I was surprised at the quality of the last pair of Primark nails I had tried (Click Here to read my review) so I was happy when my mum gave me 4 new pairs to try as a little Easter present :) I love the leopard print design and the shape/size of the nails but they felt a lot more flimsy than the other pack I had tried. This was also my first time trying the Primark nail glue as I used my own glue last time , and my verdict is RUBBISH they literally popped off within an hour and I ended up pulling them all off. It was disappointing because I think they look cute, maybe with a decent glue they would stay on but they would still feel bendy and flimsy which I don't like.

Have you tried any of the Primark nail designs and what do you think of them? xx
